Dear MOMS,
Every February, across the country, candy, flowers, and gifts are exchanged between loved ones, all in the name of St. Valentine. As we celebrate this holiday it is a perfect time to reflect on happiness that God brings into our lives everyday. The simplest ways to show love... a kiss, smile, hug, pat on the back, high five and kind words... are the things in life that count the most. Enjoy this Valentine's day with your families and make every moment together count!
We have the pleasure of hearing Jenny Gomez, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor and a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, speak to our group this month. She will help us with our parenting struggles and give us tips for success.
Our annual bake sale is upon us! This is a huge fundraiser for our group and an easy way to earn funds for Outreach. An exciting addition to our sale is the MOMS 2009-2010 Cookbooks! Items can be dropped off in the volunteer room starting Friday, February 5th.
Thanks to Cindy Kayanan for bringing our 1st MOMS Living Rosary to POP. This special event will be held on Tuesday, February 16th. This is open to our parish so spread the word!
I hope all of you are continuing to look for ways to serve our community. The MOMS Board Nominations will begin this Spring and need YOU to consider a position!

THE COOKBOOKS ARE IN!!!!!
Hello MOMS,
Adonia and I are so excited to let you know that the cookbooks arrived Monday and look fabulous. They are ready to be sold as of NOW!
"Faith, Food and Fellowship" is our MOMS cookbook comprised of 200+ recipes from our MOMS group at POP. I am so proud of this fundraising accomplishment that we all did together! We only have 220 copies, so reserve yours TODAY! We will be selling the cookbooks to our parish at our Bake Sale on February 7th, however we are taking orders for MOMS now so you can reserve your copy or copies! The cookbooks are $12 for 1 copy or$20 for 2 copies. Think about what a great gift this could be for your mom or mother in law for Mother's Day or a special treat for someone on Valentines Day. Please contact Maureen about how many books you would like. Then, bring a check made out to POP MOMS to this month's meeting!
Christ Renews His Parish (C.R.H.P.)
Women's Weekend March 20-21, 2010 & Men's Weekend April 17-18, 2010. Now is the time to renew your commitment to Christ and to one another. You will experience individual spiritual growth as well as growth together as a parish family. This weekend is open to people who are registered at Prince of Peace, who are at least 21 years old, and who have not attended a previous weekend. Meals are provided and there is no charge for attending - it is a gift from people who have previously experienced the weekend.

MOMS Group Living Rosary
We have a date for Tuesday, February 16th at 3:30pm in the church. Moms and children are asked to be beads. Prayer cards will be handed out so no memorization is necessary - you just read your card. If the children are unable to speak into the mic, the moms will be asked to help out.

Leaps and Bounds Early Learning Center at Prince of Peace (Program for 2 year olds)
Registration for 2010/2011 school year is from Feb. 1 - Feb. 10. Children must be 2 years old as of Sept 1, 2010. Class hours are Tues/Thurs 9am-1:30pm. Registration forms can be picked up in the Pastoral Center beginning Feb. 1st. Open House on Tuesday, Feb. 2nd from 9:30-11:00am.
